Zenfone Troubleshooting

1. Battery Back Up is too low : 
Battery depends on the usage and the applications used.
The battery life depends on system configuration and usage condition. Factors, such as CPU, LCD luminance, etc. will change the battery life. To prolong the battery life, try the following to save more power under the battery mode :
1) Turn off you mobile data, Wi-Fi connection, Bluetooth or GPS when not in use.
2) Close unnecessary apps running in background to save your battery life.
3) Remove any external device that is not being used .
4) Lower the luminance of the LCD panel.
5) Lower the system audio volume or set it to mute.
6) Also clear cache files and remove unwanted apk files.

2. How to Reset Zen Fone
A) Soft Reset - Go to Settings> Backup & Reset >Factory Data Reset
B) Hard Reset - Turn-off the phone, press 'Volume-Up + Power' keys simultaneously, on the menu
browse to 'Factory Data Reset' with the help of volume up + down keys and press power key.
Note :- Please take the back up of all important data before reset else you'll loose it.

(1). Go to settings >> ASUS customized settings >> Key settings, (2). Choose "Tap and hold to get screenshot", ()3Try to tap and hold "recent app" key to print screen.

3. Zenfone Heats too much. 
Mainly processor and battery are responsible for heating any smart phone.
1. Avoid playing heavy games like FIFA, Asphalt etc. for long time.
2. Avoid using phone while on charging.
3. Turn off you mobile data, Wi-Fi connection, Bluetooth or GPS when not in use.
4. Close unnecessary apps running in background to save your battery life.

4. Camera quality is very low in Asus Zenfone
1. Try Hard Reset
2. Try Latest Firmware Upgrade
3. There are many amazing camera apps which can add multiple features to your Zenfone camera. Like camera 360 Ultimate etc.

5. Can't use mobile data, can't connect with internet
1. Go to mobile networks  turn on Mobile data & Turn on Data roaming
2. Add new apn(Access Point name) & put correct apn & save settings
3. Restarts fone & check internet connection

6. Can't download anything from google play store but can access internet.
1. Remove google account & add a new google account,
2. Reconfigure your apn settings
3. Delete cache, cookies, history, recent pages, offline contents or reset browser
4. Reinstall browser, make sure you are in coverage, network strength is good or

7. Zenfone disconnects from Wi-Fi automatically  
1. Sometimes it could be due to your ISP (internet server provider) issue. Try connecting your smart phone to any other Wi-Fi to check this problem.
2. If Wi-Fi disconnects at middle of any task then Go to settings >> Wi-Fi. Choose your Wi-Fi connection and select Forget network. Now reconnect with your Wi-Fi connection and check whether problem is gone.

8. Micro SD card reinserted notification. 
1. Remove your SD Card & Put it back properly in sim tray.
2. If you are getting this message after installing any app then reinstall that app.
3. Clearing cache files
4. Format your SD card and it’s gone.
5. Check with different SD Card

9. Not able to connect with mobile data, can't add new apn getting error "Unfortunately the settings has stopped working"
1. Try factory data reset
2. Try Firmware Upgrade

Why do I not get notification of system update (FOTA)? 

1. To prevent too many users updating firmware at the same time, ASUS delivers notifications to the users in groups. If the users want to check if the device firmware is the current latest version, please tap "Check Update" function in [Settings] -> [About] -> [System update] or go to the ASUS official website to download the latest version firmware.

2. If your phone is rooted or has wrong version (sku), you will not receive notifications of system update (FOTA).
